Responsibilities
Release ownership
- Build and maintain release plans covering scope, milestones, go/no-go criteria, and cross-team dependencies
- Manage release schedules, track readiness across teams, and surface risks before they block delivery
- Own the execution of the Emergency Release (hotfix) process, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, release validation and ensuring full traceability of hotfix deployments
- Maintain complete traceability of deliverables to meet regulatory requirements (IVDR, ISO 13485)
- Current release cadence: 3 IVDR release per year, one Release candidate per month.
Cross-team coordination
- Keep Engineering, Bioinformatics, AI (ML/AI and Diagnostic AI algorythms), QA, Regulatory Affairs, and Product teams aligned on release scope and timelines
- Facilitate release readiness reviews; resolve cross-team blockers and escalate critical risks with clear mitigation proposal
- Provide all stakeholders a reliable, up-to-date view of release status through dashboards and structured reporting
Release process maturity
- Continuously improve release predictability by identifying process gaps, enforcing scope discipline, and driving root cause analysis on release incidents
- Define, track, and report key release metrics — with a primary focus on hotfix rate and time-to-deliver a hotfix — to measure process health and drive improvements
- Implement lightweight, durable processes: release checklist, definition of done, branching and versioning conventions, in an IVDR and data sensitive context
- Contribute to release process structuring in a scaling organizational context
